Gene Burkman is self taught in wood, furniture design and crafting.  He has over 20 years  experience in carpentry, including stair building, high-end trim carpentry and archery bow crafting.  Gene earned a BFA in Painting from Kansas State University and has completed 30 graduate hours in Art, at Kansas State University and Colorado State University.  He utilizes his education and experience in Art and Design to capture his ideas of line, shape, form and finish in wood.
